How can you help?

We’re so glad you asked! ….

A critical aspect of the Final CALC Report is the inclusion of your (the Barbadian public) views and suggestions.

Therefore, the main way in which you can contribute to this phase of the CALC, is to do the following:

  1. Come out to our four Community Town Hall Meetings:

EACH MEETING STARTS AT 7:00 PM

At these meetings we’ll discuss the findings of the CALC and most importantly, suggest ways in which the Government can best make use of those findings.  Some topics you might want to address are:

-       How should Government try to improve living conditions in Barbados?

-       What can be done to help those in need?

-       What should be done now that the CALC data has been collected and analysed?

-       How can I help fight poverty?

These Community Town Hall Meetings provide the opportunity for the public to come and contribute to the Final Report.  Every person’s views count and meetings will be moderated to ensure that no one is left out.  Even if you think you have nothing to share, please still come on out as meetings promise to be informative, interesting and relevant to each and every one of us.

  Before you come to the meetings

2. Familiarise yourself with the findings of the CALC by;

We have made this easy for you by providing a variety of ways in which you can do this.  You can do any or all of the following:

  2. Pick up a concise “CALC At A Glance” Overview Brochure from any library, post office, or the Ministry of Social Care, Warrens Office Complex.
